Dye Transferred in the Wash?

I mixed my grey jersey with a red dress in the washing machine. The jersey has red marks.

Red seems to fade forever!

You could try Zout or Oxy clean or 1/4 cup of Boric Acid (Borax) or even color safe bleach (never chlorine bleach) in small washer load, soak for 30 minutes or so and wash in warm water.
There is also a commercial product for removing dye transfer and this is usually found in the laundry section of most large stores.

It really depends on the fabric.

Some people have had success getting them out by soaking the garment in a very diluted bleach solution for 30 minutes.

I know I have successfully in the past gotten rid of stains like this with hydrogen peroxide put on straight, but user beware! Both of these can be corrosive on clothes
