Everyone has been making this budget-friendly coffee delight as we are all stuck at home. I have some tips on how to make the most luscious puff with some techniques. Give this a try. It's a tasty and beautiful treat that beats any coffee shop's $5 version.
Tools needed to make it fluff: big clean bowl, hand mixer, and spatula.
Total Time: 5 minutes
2 Tbsp instant coffee crystals
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
2 Tbsp hot water
glass of cold milk or mug of hot milk
Place coffee crystals, sugar, and hot water in large bowl to dissolve.
Start whipping the mixture with hand mixer on low, gradually increasing speed.
Use your spatula to keep shifting the splatters on the side back to the middle where the beaters are. Tilt the bowl so the mixture starts growing in a higher mound, continuing to use the spatula to push the sides inward. At around the 4-5 minute mark, the coffee should be super puffy like whipped cream.
Use your spatula to get all the whipped coffee out. Drop it on top of a 3/4 filled cup of cold or hot milk (your choice).
Use a spoon to stack it super high and swirl it around for presentation.
You'll be tempted to try the whip on its own, so do it! It's super sweet and super strong! It's best to stir it downward into your milk to even things out. Enjoy!
