My Brother AX-100 electric typewriter hammer is not hitting the ribbon. It is switched on, has power, and ink. How can I fix this?

You could call Brother and see if they have a replacement hammer. It's hard to find parts, or people who know how to fix typewriters nowadays.
My machine (years ago) had this problem and I had to clean it with q-tips and denatured alcohol as dust tends to accumulate quickly. Maybe you could try this first.
Look down in there and make sure there isn't anything such as small paper ball or dust ball blocking them. You can take tips and clean it, make sure to go from base to outside preventing anything building up at the base. If didn't work go to manicure web site and trouble shoot or contact with problem.
