Photo Description While walking through my field, I spotted the above creature. I thought 'Oh my goodness! A possum has found one of the rats I buried. It decided the rat wasn't so delectable after all, and left it be. Upon closer examination, I found it to be a mere mushroom.That was a relief. We just had a heavy rain. It brought out everything. Looking around, I saw lots of mushrooms. This next one I named 'Mushroomius procumbens'. It looks as if it is leaning forward to offer itself as a stool to some toad. Freud said 'Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar'. But when it comes to this mushroom, I'm sure the old boy would think every man and woman would see it as a phallic symbol. Every blossom is representative of a potential fruit. If I get a cuke for every blossom, I'll have 'em coming out the old pickle jar! My tour did have a purpose. I wanted to see how my container grown watermelons were doing. They are doing quiet well, thank you. You know what? I kinda think maybe Freud had a dirty mind.
