Get Pickles on the Side

Quite by accident several years ago at a fall fair I found a cheap (read as free) way of getting a side serving of pickles, generally 3 or 4 slices.

Not liking pickle on my hamburger because the bun gets mushy, I asked for my pickle on the side. I received several slices nicely wrapped in wax paper.

Hubby and I don't often eat fast food hamburgers but when we do, we now always order "pickle on the side" and get 3 or 4 slices each instead of the single one usually put onto a hamburger.

That's great for me because hubby doesn't even like pickles and I take his home for me to enjoy later.
