You can place heavy items on the corners for a day or two to help relax the fibers and make them stay in place. You can also get adhesive rug tabs from most home shops. They stick right under and stay in place.

There is one sure way to get your rug to never curl again and always lay flat.

  1. Visit Home Depot and buy 2 self-stick tiles. They are normally called peel and stick tiles and will cost around $0.80 for one. Count the number of rugs you have and purchase enough tiles to do all the rugs.

  3. Cut each tile in half. You want to make a triangle out of the tile. So don't cut them in half, but cut them diagonally to make this work.
  4. Now peel off the paper and stick the tile to the corner of your rug. Repeat this for all 4 corners. The rugs will never curl again and will always lay flat.

What is excellent about this is when you get ready to move all you need to do is peel off the tile. Afterwards, you can roll up your rug and take it with you.

Flip your rug over and apply heavy books or something heavy then flip your rug back over.

I would use velcro in each corner. That way the rug stays in place as well.
