Can I grow them in tubs and when do you plant?

You can plant in containers at least 4 inches deep and in a shady spot.

I love blue bells!!

They are best planted in the fall for spring flowering. Also best to start with bulbs, although hard core gardeners will only start with seeds (I am not hard core so bulbs work for me!)

Since they love to spread, you are best starting them in a bigger (more than 12 inches) container if you want to do container gardening.

If you see them getting crowded, you can split the bulbs out and start new containers which is the best way to grown your collection.

This article is from the UK, but it has a lot of good info on these lovelies! www.meadowmania.co.uk/.../
