How to Make a Layered Cardboard Sign

'Love' Cardboard Sign - pink finished project displayed on a shelfMy friend had these cardboard signs in her kids' rooms. I liked them and made them for my girls.

Total Time: 2 hours

Supplies:

  • letters for tracing
  • cardboard
  • scissors
  • X-acto knife
  • glue gun
  • paper
'Love' Cardboard Sign - supplies
 

Steps:

  1. Cut four pieces of cardboard. Be sure each is large enough for the letters you're going to trace.
  2. Trace "love" on each piece of cardboard.
  3. Then cut out using your scissors or knife.
  4. 'Love' Cardboard Sign - letters cut out
     
  5. Glue all 4 pieces together.
  6. 'Love' Cardboard Sign - four pieces of paper with the word "love" spelled out
     
    'Love' Cardboard Sign - stack of the four words "love" glued together
     
  7. Cover them in your choice of paper. I also added little diamonds to them.
