Identifying Insect Eggs?

Identifying Insect Eggs - elongated tan insect eggs attached to a branchI found these eggs in my rose bush in March. Anyone know what they are? If beneficial I'd like to keep the twig and the eggs around. If not I'd like to dispose of the eggs.

They could be katydid eggs. They are important food to birds.

I am not sure what they are but I wanted to share a little FYI. You can contact just about any University that has an entomology department and they are normally more than happy to assist.

I used Auburn University and the staff there were absolutely great.
