Identifying Odor in House?

My house has a distinct smell of asparagusic acid. The odor just started and it seems to have moved from one room to another. Any ideas what it might be?

If you have pets, they may be peeing on the furniture/rug without you knowing. Male cat urine can be especially stinky.
You could also have an infestation of mice and they have moved from one room to another.
