It looks like a brown and black hornet--here is a professional photo:

Not too good a picture and bugs change after they die so not sure we can really identify this bug.
Not sure it is a hornet because this bug appears to have a long tail and only the head doesn't look quite the same.

Resembles some wasp but still a mystery to me.
I'm wondering if the tail is a stinger?

It looks like a few moths I have seen in the past. I do not beleive these are hornets because they have too long of a tail on them and the tail is pointed.
