Identifying a Houseplant?

Identifying a Houseplant - succulentMy friend who was supposed to look after my plant while I was away bailed and left it in a dark room for two weeks! Now I'm desperately trying to resuscitate it, but it was a gift so I don't know what type it is or how to care for it in this state - any help in identifying its type would be much appreciated!

Your plant looks like an Echevena Agavoides which is a succulent plant. It looks like it has been over-watered. You can get some helpful information on how to care for (and hopefully save) your plant at

It is definitely a succulent. It looks like a jade plant with long leaves. Succulents dont like a lot of water. Cut back on the water and see what happens.

It is difficult to tell for sure because it is "sickly" and does not appear to be standing up as a Echevena Agavoides normally does.

However, the red on the tips does resemble this plant.

Take a look at this picture and see if it looks like your plant when it is in good health.

If so then here is a good site to check for care:

If we have not identified your plant correctly maybe someone more knowledgeable will come along and help us.

Did your plant come back to life? I was just shopping for holiday plants and saw this site and then I remembered your post and thought your plant may be a pachyphytum and if it is not all better, maybe these directions could help:
