Identifying a Lump on Dog's Leg?

Identifying a Lump on Dog's Leg - large lump on dog's inner right front legMy dog has had this since we got him and he is now 9, however it has only started to grow to this size in the last year. He doesn't appear to be in pain and doesn't take much notice of it either. I have booked an appointment at the vet's, however I would like to hear your opinions on what this might be as it is very concerning.

This could be an abscess, a tumor, or something else altogether. It is so hard to tell and only a vet can actually tell you what this is. He could have something in it or there is another reason for this lump. No matter what he needs to have it looked at by a vet. This is very important for the health of your dog to do this. Please try to get him in as soon as possible and have it looked at.

This is bad! Please have him looked at by a Vet! You have to be sure that your fur baby will be ok . So glad you have a appointment. It could be a few things.

With dogs it is hit or miss. Only a vet can tell you for sure after they biopsy. Post back what the vet says. Prayers for healing!

It got serious when it started to grow so you certainly made the right decision when making an appointment with the vet as these can be serious but usually easily taken care of by a vet.

It would seen that he had not seen a vet in those 9 years so this is probably a good move as the vet may find that he needs shots or even a change in diet.

I hope you have already seen the vet and if so, please respond and let us know what was wrong and what the vet had to do.

He has seen a vet for shots and the alike however they have never mentioned anything about it before even when they did look at it when it was a small lump/bump.
