I found this piece of metal while planting. It is a 6 inch x 3.5 inch ball with a threaded base. There is a buried junk hole on the edge of the field that used to be a farmstead years ago. It intrigued me and I am dying to know what it is. Can any one give to an idea or even a shot in the dark in the right direction.
