Identifying a Stuffed Frog?

Identifying a Stuffed FrogI need help finding a replacement for this frog. I thought he was a Rags brand, but I cannot find anything. I've searched for quite a while and I just need to replace my daughter's seizure buddy.

Hi,

This is a very cute frog! I found similar one on Amazon. It is located at this link:

www.amazon.com/.../B074G1L8CD?th=1 (Affiliate Link)

This frog is called My Baby's Heartbeat Bear-Vintage Frog. It has a 20 second voice and sound recorder in it. It is a very cute bear, and looks almost like yours, except for the eyes are a bit less round.

Blessings,

Robyn

It will be very difficult to locate even a similar frog without more information.
If you can find out who made it then it is possible they have made similar ones later than yours.

  • There are several sites that have very knowledgeable people who dearly love to help someone looking for information on a vintage toy.
  • Hopefully you can supply a couple more pictures. You need to show the emblem on the front of the frog as well as good full length pictures front and back and especially an area where a tag was attached.
  • You will need to supply length measurement and any information you have on the age of this frog.
  • You should send the information to all sites as each one may supply a little more than another. The posting is easy but you will have to read their instructions on posting pictures.

  • Post your information to the sites even if you have no other pictures.

Are the eyes plastic (like ping pong ball material). He looks like he may be a Kermit the Frog knock off, which could have been made by any number of companies.

Enesco mostly, and I think some Gund products used "ping pong" eyes in their toys, but this little guy does not look like a real kermit, which, to me, means they didn't make him. Enesco and Gund were always very well marked and tagged, often in one or two places like butt and back or butt and foot.

There is a toy identification site on Facebook that I love and they know way more than me about off brands (I know more about the name brands from selling them in retail for years).

The site I like is called Doll & toy identification help (put this exact phrase in the search bar on Facebook and it is the first one on my screen to pop up). You can ask to join and then post the photos and ask for ID help.

I do recommend since this is for your daughter's health, that unless you absolutely have to buy one used, see if you can find one that is either NEW or NEW OLD STOCK (which means it was once on a store shelf, not sold, but never used/played with).

Perhaps I am a bit of a germ freak, but second hand plush has too much of an ICK factor to it. SAFETY FIRST!!!

I hope you find what your punkin girly needs!!

He looks like a scentsy brand frog. They have sent buddies. I do believe they are retired. Search ebay, you might be able to find one. Hope this helps. Blessings !

You don't have to the stuffed animal anymore, right? I would like to have a clearer photo, especially of the patch on the frog's chest. Do you remember when or where you originally purchased it?

I took a stab at identifying it but there are just too many options. Lots of similar ones but nothing that is a match.

Good luck with your search and do let us know if you find one.
