Identifying a Trunk?

A trunk with a broken latch.Dimensions are

40in×22in×25in

As you can see it needs a new latch as well as a new handle.

The only info I have is where it was made

Identifying vintage/antique trunks is difficult unless you've made a hobby/career of studying this subject.
Sometimes a latch can help because there is a lot of information online about vintage truck latches. However, your trunk latch is missing.

A trunk's value depends on many factors, and rarely can a for-sale or sold online listing help with value or age.
I did find this vintage trunk for you to review but only to show how a good listing should be done. Mainly look at the pictures so you will have an idea of the typr of pictures needed when posting something for sale.

Value of an item like this will depend on the type of area where it is located, as trunks are very heavy and cannot usually be shipped (unless it is a valuable brand). Usually listed as local pick up only.

There are several vintage trunk forums online so perhaps you could post a few pictures on several of these sites and see what type of information you can obtain.
The more sites you join the more information you may receive.
Be sure to give measurements and type of material.
