Large Letter Decor

Supplies:

• 2 by 4 foot lumber
• staples
• paint brush
• staple gun
• white paint
• embellishments
• hot glue and glue gun
• wood glue
• small dowels
• drill

Steps:

1. Cut 2 by 4 pieces to form desired letter. For our "h" letter, we cut the two side pieces, 24 inch tall, and the middle piece 8 inch long.

 

 

 

 
2. Paint pieces and let dry. Drill a hole on the inside middle of the two longer pieces for a dowel to be inserted. Drill a hole on either side of the middle piece and insert dowel.

3. Plan how to decorate with embellishments. May also use staple gun for stapling trim as pictured.
   

 

 
4. Using wood glue, glue hole of predrilled holes and insert middle piece with dowel. Clamp and let dry. Using hot glue gun, glue ribbons, lace, buttons, flowers, etc. onto piece.
