I have dark blue carpet in my living room. What color should I paint my walls and trim? I don't want it to be dark in here. Any suggestions?

Creme with gold tones would look great
You can do a light gray with white trim.
Light colors make a room look larger. I'd go for white or off-white.
I'd go with a cream white on the walls and a powder blue on the trim to bring in the color of the carpet.
How about a light peach?
Nothing wrong with having a 'blue room'. Since your carpet is dark blue, I would go for a very light blue, maybe one wall a light blue and the remaining 3 a lighter shade than that.
I would go with a light buff (think a very light powdery sand), with white trim and possibly a light blue accent wall.
