Making Pizza Sauce from Pasta Sauce?

It depends on you. You know how you expect pizza sauce to taste. So taking into consideration what spices are already in the pasta sauce, I would experiment with a combination of fennel seed, oregano, basil, garlic, onion, sugar, and red pepper flakes until it tasted right.

Difference in Pasta Sauce and Pizza Sauce.

• Pasta sauce usually has more water content but would still work for pizza sauce.
• There is a definite difference in the taste so I agree, you may have to do a "taste test" or just try it out one evening.

• Basically, Pizza sauce is usually uncooked canned tomato with spices and herbs while Marinara has more onion and garlic, more herbs, and has been cooked for a few hours.
• The flavors are quite different but they are interchangeable.
• If you are talking about store bought sauces then a taste test is the way to go.

It's basically the same type of sauce.You can add what you like.
