McCormick Deering could be the manufacturer. This plow clevis looks to be for a horse drawn plow, most likely a walk behind plow.
I agree, Its definitely from a walking plow. McCormick was another thought as well as Oliver. The patent date is 1878, there is an "L" and "160" marked on it as well.
Could the cooperative extension in your area identify this ?
this looks very old and like it was very useful once.

That's what I was thinking as well, JD/Syracuse. It's a little different than the one on EBAY, but still a 6 hole adjustment clevis.
