Pine Tree Removal in Ohio?

I would like to sell my mature pine trees. I have a min. of 30 and could take out as many as 50. Do you know of any loggers who want pine?

Young established pines might be of interest in new property for housing section. Pull out ball, etc and replant. Harvesting pine for construction needs to consider what kind of pieces of wood could be cut from each trunk. And whether to be kiln or air dried. Around here....that going price has been $1200 each...YOU pay for removal. Sorry.

Harvesting trees is very expensive and a lot of companies will not pay you to do this. It is dangerous work and they have to bring in a lot of equipment in order to do this one. You may also need to get a permit for your area in order to sell them. I would check with your local government office in your area to find out how to start. Then you can try and check with some logging companies around where you live and talk with them to see if they harvest this for free and pay you for the wood.

That is very hard to get a company to come in and cut down the trees and pay you for the trees they have cust down. There might be a few people around you looking for wood, but not sure how much they will be willing to pay you because once the trees are cut they need to be removed and milled in order for them to use them to build a home.

There are so many questions that would have to be answered before even attempting to have these trees removed.
Where your trees are located is a beginning. Are you in a rural area and trees are no where near any building/shed/garage? Or are the trees on residential property where trees could fall on 'anything'?

Most likely it will cost you to have these trees removed and just remember; logging companies only cut and remove the trees - they do not do any clean up or stump removal. This clean up and stump removal may cost as much as having the trees removed.

This type of work is costly - special equipment hauled in on trucks; skilled operators who make big bucks per hour; log trucks to haul away the trees: skilled workmen who trim the trees before loading on trucks; company has to have several permits and a place to sell the logs.
The cost will depend on the size of the trees, the location/accessibility, total number of trees.
They will only accept the job if there is enough money in it to pay all these charges and still make a profit.
I think you will be shocked if you get an estimate to have these trees removed
But - there are some area that may be in need of pine so since that could be your area, I would check logging companies and any mills in your area and ask for an estimate.

You may be in luck and they need pine so check it out.

Also-Very Important:
***Do not give the address or location of your trees to anyone before you have an attorney assisted deal. If you do, you may find someone has removed some or all of your trees without your knowledge.
***Tree removal is an expensive and very dangerous process!!! Most companies are not interested in small jobs.
***There may be complications re the land the trees are on-historic or prehistoric, environmental and other issues may need to be addressed legally before a contract.

***You must protect yourself legally before the next step!!! Strongly suggest an attorney's help in concluding an agreement of any type.
