You can pull the prongs out a bit.
Adjusting the prongs usually does the trick. Most likely its the electrical item and not the outlet.
Is it the same on all plugs ?? It is possible that the prongs need to be pulled out to fit the socket.
Spread the prongs apart a bit until they have enough tension to stay in the outlet.
This is just me, but if the plug fits fine in other outlets in the house, and you stretch them to fit in the new one, then you may have trouble if you move it to one of the other outlets. I doubt it's healthy for a plug to be manipulated multiple times.
