This is so quick and easy to make with ingredients we usually keep in the pantry. I buy the cake mix when it is on sale for a dollar or less.
Turn oven to 350 degrees F. Sift cake mix to remove lumps. Add the can of pumpkin and beat until smooth. It will be very thick.
Spread evenly in a 13 x 9 inch pan and bake 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool thoroughly before cutting into squares. Topping is optional. Good served warm or at room temperature.
