Re-dyeing Hair?

So my hair was bleached a couple of times, but I left it ombre for like 8 months. It was light brown on the top and blonde on the bottom. My natural hair color is black. I was treating it with products that are supposed to repair my split ends and all hair that was damaged because the ends of my hair felt like hay.

So on Friday I had my hair bleached to blonde, but it looked terrible because some hair looked white! So I had to go to a salon. I had no choice but to change it to dark brown. It's a really complicated story I know. I really just want the ombre back, the colors that I had before in the first place. How long do I have to wait because I'm really scared of losing my hair? :( Please help me! I dyed it two days in a row.

If your hair has been bleached twice, and then bleached a third time to the extent some of it looks white, and then colored a dark brown, you are lucky to have any hair left. My advice to you is to cut your hair very short and then find a temporary color (No peroxide, boosters or developers of any kind) to blend your hair colors and regrowth til all chemically treated hair has grown out and been cut off. Then you can consider ombre on a head of healthy, virgin hair.

If you came to my salon and insisted on corrective color work, I would take every precaution I could, and do all I could to provide you with the best service, possible.
I would do something else I didn't usually do. I would require you to sign a waiver. At this point, the most knowledgable colorist in the world cannot guarantee that most of your hair wont break off if subjected to further chemical treatments. I don't even think the results of a strand test would be of much value in your case.

1. Have it cut it very short.
2. Cry a while.
3. Get over it.
4. Go buy 3 or 4 pairs of those huge hoops or dangley earrings.
5. Wear your makeup a little more daring.
6. Smile a lot when everybody tells you how much they like the 'new you'!
