Re-dyeing Hair After the Color Has Faded?

About a month ago I dyed my hair red from a box. I actually really like the color, but of course it has faded - some areas are faded more than others. Is it OK to re-dye my whole head with the same color I used before? Will it make it all one shade or will I have dark/lighter areas based on how it has faded?

If you use a permanent colour, it should all even out quite nicely. Reds don't tend to be patchy as long as you keep the dye in as long as is safely possible (however long your strand test kept up)

I would try the whole head if it was semipermanent. If it was permanent, I would go to a salon or a beauty school.

The box should have instructions for root touch upsgenerally you apply to the roots only and leave in for a time, then spread through all of your hair and leave an additional 5-10 minutes to freshen it up. Then rinse out.
