Recovery Time for a Dog with Parvo?

I would just like to know, I noticed funny signs in my dog Saturday evening, but did not know much about parvo. Then Sunday she stopped eating. I took her to the vet the Monday morning and it turned out to be parvo. She received her first shot and come home with meds.

I wasn't happy with seeing my baby like that and decided to book her into the animal hospital on Tuesday morning. I've phoned in every day cause my heart bleeds for my puppy and I feel like I'm going into depression because of worrying. Yesterday they told me my dog is worse, I would like to know is there a high chance that my baby will fight and recover from this it's her 4th day in hospital.

I had one of my dogs in the vets for over a week when he got sick from my neighbor's dog he was playing with. There were touchy moments and the dog seemed to do better then the next day he seemed worse. In the end they were there for the dog and he survived and was able to come home in about 8 days.

Just hold on they are there for the dogs and it might seem hopeless but in the end they are good and know how to take care of them when they are that sick.

You have done all you can. It is not unusual for dogs to still be quite sick on day 7 or 8. It can take a month before they really look and act normal again. You could go visit. The puppies get depressed too and it might be good for both of you. She should begin to improve before too long.

I think she will recover. You are doing everything possible and she is in good hands.

This is a slow process for healing.Do everything they told you to do! Sometimes we get worse before we get better!

So sad you have to see your baby so sick! It is so VERY SCARY. Sending up lots of prayers! Know you did the right thing getting her to an animal hospital. I know plenty of parvo survivors and those that made it all had top notch care by a vet or vet hospital or at home with specific vet instruction.
