How do you get rid of the little red ants that nest in the ground?

My mom used a mixture of kerosene and milk to kill weeds in the garden. I don't imagine they would like it any more. It's worth a try.

PS: She said the milk made the kerosene less volatile but please don't do this while you are smoking!

You can do several things. You may have to because these ants are persistent and have huge interconnected ant colonies underground. You can boil water and pour it on the ant hills, You can mix in some borax with the boiling water (find in the laundry isle) you can sprinkle the dry borax on the ant hills also.

You can use granules of ant bait that is a poison and sprinkle on the ant hills also.
