Refurbished Vintage Breadbox

Received as a wedding gift over 40 years ago, this retro breadbox was looking its age. It is still useful and in great shape, we wanted to modernize it.

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Clean with a solution of dish soap, vinegar, and water. A soap pad easily erased the decals.
  2. Remove the drawer pulls with a screw driver.
  3. Cover the labels with transparent tape.
  4. Spray paint the entire box and each drawer-front.
  5. Paint each drawer pull with a contrasting color.
  6. Allow paint to dry completely then remove tape from labels.
