Removing Burned Pan Odor from the House?

I burned up an aluminum pan containing peanuts. The the aluminum bottom of the pan melted onto my glass cook top. How do I get the smoke and smell out of the house? I have a two story house and the odor is also upstairs.

If you have a box fan, put it in an open window where the smell is worse and have it set so the fan isn't blowing air into the room, but pulling it out. You may need to run it for several hours. Be sure to turn your AC off when you do this so as not to cool the outside. If you have two fans, try one in window at oposite ends of the house or one upstairs and one downstairs. If the smell is in your clothes and bedding, try running them through the dryer on the air setting with a used drier sheet that you dampened. Both method have served me well.

I would heat it with a hair dryer and scrape it off using an old credit card. Use Barkeeper's Friend to get rid of the rest. Nok-Out will help with the odor.

I use a charcoal deodorant in the home for these instances.

when I have had bad odours I will of course ventilate as much as humanly possible (Like the fans) but also burn a little pot of white vinegar. As well laying out coffee grounds is useful
