I have a black dress with a white viscose collar. I washed it with other dark items along with 2 colour catchers and the collar has gone grey. How do I get it white again? The dress has now dried out, so it may be a question of cutting the collar off now!

You could try putting towels under the collar and just applying a bleach solution to that.
I would try Clorx 2 Stain Remover and color booster to start off with. You might need to remove the collar as you have suggested earlier to do this. I personally wouldn't cut the collar off the dress. You'll need to rip out the seam of the collar so that you can try and bleach it or replace it.
First try using the Clorx 2 Stain Remover on the collar by its self. You can put a white towel under the area you are working on and apply the Clorx 2 to this area. Let it sit a few minutes and try to rinse this. If this works, continue on and do the rest of the collar.
I would use a stain remover like shout cover the collar let sit over night.Then wash as usual.
