I had a plug-in air freshener over my bathroom sink and it leaked into the face bowl. There is an ugly yellow stain that I have tried everything to remove. Please offer a solution to remove it without replacing the whole counter top.

We accidentally sprayed air freshener close to my great aunt's dark cherry piano and now there are sticky spots left. I tried using Pledge and they are still there; it looks bubbled. I'm afraid any rubbing will make it all worse. Help please!:(

You are most likely going to have to sand that area down, and restain it. With it being such a small area, you can probably get by with using the small sample sized containers of stain/varnish that they carry at lowe's.
