Repairing Broken Legs on an Upholstered Couch?

Category Sofas
How you repair a broken leg on an upholstered couch will depend on the age and style of the piece. Home improvement stores often sell replacement legs that screw into the couch frame. You would probably receive better answers if you uploaded a picture as there are so many styles of sofa legs it is difficult to know what type of leg or break you have.

You can either decide to replace all four (or more) legs or do a patch/repair to broken legs. Each procedure is different in every respect but something to think about. Plain and fancy legs are sold at stores like Lowe's and Home Depot.

Here is a YouTube video of one procedure:

There are numerous sites with suggestions about how to do the repairs so if one listed here is not what you need you should Google your question and find another link to check out.

you can either buy legs that you screw on, or some sofa legs have hanger bolts that screw into T-nuts installed into the sofa. It depends on the sofa.

Honestly, what I would do if I didn't want to invest the time and money, I'd just mount it on some cinderblocks
