Is there any way to repair or improve the look of a cultured marble vanity top that has cracks and stains near the drain hole?
By Velvetheart from Houston, TX
People online recommend using epoxy or even caulk to fill the cracks. You might want to talk to a home improvement store to see what products they recommend. You might find repair kits online.
There are also companies that specialize in refinishing sinks and countertops like this. It might be worth bringing in a professional.
My cultured marble bathroom sink and vanity is beginning to show some wear with it being very dull in some places. There are also a few small dents, but are not that obvious. What type of renovation can be done without spending a lot of money?

Call Lowe's to see if they have what you need to do the job, good luck.

It looks beyond repair. Maybe getting a new sink is your best option. (09/23/2009)

I also think it's beyond repair. I would check out Home Depot or Lowe's. You'll be amazed what they have in affordable sinks that are in stock. (09/24/2009)
Try resin and matting. Today resin is an in thing. Any job can be done with resin. You get all types of resin. Go to Home Depot or Builder's Express they will advise you. Give it a try. Failing that you can buy a new sink. (09/26/2009)
