I would try calling the company directly at 1-800-284-4628. It sounds like they will ship out replacement parts for a few dollars. If anyone tries this, please leave feedback about how it worked. :)
I called the number listed in this thread and they sure did replace the base of the chopper for $9.90 which included taxes and shipping. Was a fast efficient phone call resolution for me.
Took me less than 5 minutes to order 2 replacement "lid cleaning tool" for $2/each. Easy Peasy!! Thanks for the best suggestion!

I just tried contacting and I got National Express. I had called at least 3 weeks ago and was able to order two of the cleaning tools. So far I have not received them. Any thoughts?

I have the older modle a Vidalia Chopwizard Pro 4000 needed the new the 3 cup base they had a few left mine the bottom was cracked and cheep were breaking off. Not a Good thing to happen so They are send me a new base. ( No Charge ) this is awesome The Number works. the People are very Helpful. Roger McClelland

Piece of junk. The plastic hinge on clear box broke on two units and one unit was used for only two weeks. Do not buy this poorly made chopper!
I would think a toothbrush would do the job as well.
Nope. A toothbrush can't get into those little grooves where the food is driven into. I use a knife blade under running water.
