Replacing a Rubber Gasket?

An old brown cheese crock.I have an old brown cheese crock, looking for the rubber gasket for it. The lid is 4 and 3/8 inches across.

I have used the plastic lid from a can of frosting. Fits perfectly.

I don't think it is possible to find a rubber gasket from another cheese crock (I couldnt find it). You need to look for a suitable rubber or silicone ring.

As I understand it, 4 and 3/8 inches is the outer diameter of the ring. Measure what diameter the ring should be inside.
Buy a rubber or silicone o-ring of the correct diameter. I found a review from one person who wrote that he perfectly replaced the lid seal on an old Starbucks Mug using a Silicone O-Ring www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_3 (Affiliate Link)
