Reverse Glass Lettering

Supplies:

• glass
• printables
• Sharpie oil based marker

Steps:

1. First, I chose a quotation and style of lettering I wanted by researching the internet. I copied and pasted the lettering into a word document and sized it according to the project I was doing. Print the lettering. Cut around the lettering if necessary. I was using three words and wanted the placement in different parts of the glass I was lettering.

 
2. Holding the right side of the lettering up to my window (so I could see through), I traced the lettering.

 
3. Then, I taped the lettering onto the front of the glass where I wanted the placement. Then, I flipped the glass over to the other side. Using the oil-based Sharpie marker, I then "painted" the lettering. Because it is oil based, let it dry for a few hours so as not to smudge the lettering.

4. It was then ready for me to use. My plan is to add a clock face and make this project into a picture frame clock.

I also made something similar but I used vinyl and added a shadow behind my letters using Glass Etching cream I like your idea beats using vinyl !(not my favorite )Thanks for sharing your idea
