This will all depend on the size of the bamboo and the type of bamboo you want to sell.

Normally a piece of cut bamboo that is 4 inches around and 5 feet tall can sell for $30 each. This will all depend on the type of bamboo you are selling.

Some people sell bamboo in different sizes from pencil thin to 6 in diameter and they can sell it by the foot. You will have to determine how much bamboo you have, what are the diameters of it, who much you want to sell it for by the piece or by foot. This will tell you how much it is worth.

On a typical quarter acre of land you can have up to 2400 plants.

Selling bamboo is not an easy task unless you can find someone that wants to buy the entire grove.

  • You will have to know what kind of bamboo you have before you can make arrangements to sell it.
  • If you are wanting to sell individual plants then you will have to do a lot of research on how you can do this as it is pretty complicated and a LOT of work.
  • You might want to check with your County Extension office before doing any negotiations as they might can give you an idea of what to charge or what is typically paid. They should be able to tell you what specie of bamboo you have.

You probably wont have many buyers. Its very invasive. Im in NY and it costs a lot of money to have people remove it.

It will be hard to sell unless you can find someone that wants to buy (and also remove too right?) You can call around or posting ads to see if anyone is interested and work from the price there.
