Sounds like you need ribbon replacement, also dirty keys can keep you from printing. Cleaning your typewriter and oiling keys will help with the movement of being stuck. Then purchase new ribbon and start fresh!

It's difficult to answer a question without knowing just a little more about the problem.
Have you used this machine recently and now it will not print?

If you are having other problems then you should join some of the forums so you can ask your questions and people with working knowledge can help you as they will know the right questions to ask you also.
I have a couple of site listed but you will have to join each one to be able to ask questions.

The person that gave it to me said it was working perfectly. I did install a new ink cartridge. Other than that it's in great shape.

sometimes the printhead is dislodged and not making contact so as to print properly. YOu have to make sure the entire machine is properly calibrated so that all the pieces fit in and work.
