I have a thread broken off in the tension part of my Janome and cannot get at it to pull it out.

Take your Janome to a qualified repair tech - don't even try the dental floss cleaning trick on this because if you can't get to it now, the floss will only drive it deeper:(
I love the (unwaxed) dental floss cleaning method for clearing tension discs, but your problem sounds more serious, so please do take the machine to a pro!
I used a tweezers and pulled thread off multiple times. No one can tell me why the machine is doing this.
