Treating Chigger Bites

I am allergenic to chigger bites. Found how to kill them on me quickly.
Take a bath dry off. Then use the head lice medication and rub all over body.

Do not put on face or hands. Wash hands after application. You can spot treat if you want. But you must do a large area around the bite, chiggers will move. I do this at night before bed. Next morning, I take a shower to wash off. Chiggers are dead.

I don't think it is safe to rub a pesticide onto your skin and leave it overnight.

I got this from my Doctor. He assured me it was safe.

Oh yea, doctors know everything...sarcasm.

Really? Pesticides on your skin? Geez!
Bleach in your bath water... please don't
Nail polish... please don't

Do some research of your own. You obviously have internet. Most of the answers here are incorrect... skin so soft, is good to repell. B complex vitamins, good.

How do I know these things? I researched reliable sources.
Chiggers are gone, by the time you start itching. They do not burrow into your skin. Prevention, is your best line of defense.
If you do "get bit", bathe and apply comfrey ointment, to heal the bites.

Chiggers will not live in St. Augustine grass and you can safely treat for them in your yard, with nematodes... www.organicdynamics.com/.../rons_articles_0307.htm
