Use Creams Right After Showering

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 677 Posts

Use Creams Right After ShoweringI bought a tube of cream, but didn't like it because it was too greasy. However, I like a thick cream to combat dry skin in the winter. I remember reading that if you apply any greasy cream (even Vaseline) right after you shower or take a bath, it won't feel greasy or leave any greasy residue. I felt it was worth a try, and it worked. Looks like I will be using this cream up, after all!

You may apply the cream right after you turn off the water, or you can pat yourself with a towel so that you are not dripping wet. The skin must be wet or else this hint won't work.

I have found that to be true. I apply lotion to my arms and legs right after I towel dry from my bath. My skin is still moist and the lotion does not make me feel sticky. It has been a big help to keep my skin from being dry this winter.

Vaseline works really good at this time too.

In the winter my feet really dry out. Before I go to bed, I rub Vaseline around my heels and all over my feet. Forget the fancy creams and lotions. There is a reason Vaseline has stayed in business all these years. They are an excellent product. I also use this on my feet when I am going to be wearing boots all day. Before I put on socks, I rub Vaseline into my feet, put my socks right on, then my boots. Keeps my feet feeling comfortable and never dry and cracking.

We love this cream! We jokingly call it axle grease...but don't find it greasy as much as very thick. It's great for all those dry spots.

I have very sensitive skin & this is about the only lotion I can use that doesn't irritate my skin. I love the way it feels on my hands & body.
