Yes. It will just have more onion flavor.
Absolutely...but unless you by the low salt version it is very high in salt.
We use it in meatloaf, meatballs, soups, stews etc.

It is actually very good for flavoring but be sure to start with a small amount or your food may have too strong a flavor (and too much salt).
It is best to mix a little in a cup of hot water and use that because I found the flavoring to be stronger than regular beef broth.
