Imperial Furniture Company was founded in 1903 by F. Stuart Foote and closed in 1954. Foote began working at his father's company, Grand Rapids Chair Co. and branched out to found Imperial.
On the shield of the label is written "Imperial, Grand Rapids, Mich." This mark was used in the 1930s (1939 on this site www.furniturecityhistory.org/
