Value of Seeburg Vogue STD160 Jukebox

The jukebox is a Seeburg Vogue STD160 purchased in 1989. The outside is in fairly good shape, the chrome has some spots and chips on it, the glass is intact, it just needs some cleaning. All the lighting works. The record selector functions as it should. I can hear the record playing, but the speakers don't seem to work. Also, I am unable to find the key. I need to know a reasonable asking price for this jukebox.

Asking price for a working one is $1500. Knock about $200 off for negotiation and it would probably sell for $1300. Figure out how much it would cost to repair and deduct that. The final figure should be your asking price.

Selling it as a whole has been covered her. Have you considered deconstructing it and selling it for parts? To some that is total blasphemy, but if you are looking for bang for your buck value, it is worth more for parts than a whole. I was shocked when I learned that when trying to sell another large item.

If you are handy, and can disassemble, working parts are usually easy to pack and sell. People want original parts to repair their projects! They pay well for parts in good working order!

Just some food for thought!

A reasonable asking price for this jukebox would be around $800 to $900 because it needs work, the speakers aren't working correctly and you've lost the key.

The value may depend on where you are located as most jukeboxes are sold as local pick up only.
It generally cost about $500 dollars to pack and ship any make of jukebox so that makes the price very high and the buyer either wants a really good bargain (to repair and resell) or it has to be a rare machine in pretty good condition.

  • Considering the condition of your machine, you will probably only be able to sell it to a dealer or to someone dreaming of restoring a vintage jukebox.
  • There are a lot of jukeboxes for sale on eBay and some other sites but there is no way to tell how long any of these have been listed (and relisted) before they sold or they are still for sale.

  • Repairs of any kinds are expensive and original or even compatible parts are expensive and sometimes very difficult to find.
  • You can look at the sold listings on eBay and get a general idea as to what Seeburg machines are selling for and what sellers state about the condition of their machines.
  • Here is a machine like yours presently up for sale and they are asking $695:
  • store.coinopdoc.com/.../product&product_id=413
  • You may be able to contact a dealer and see what they will pay for your machine so you might at least get a better idea as to the overall value. Of course, a dealer will have to figure the cost of repairs and his profit but if they say $200 then you will be able to figure that you may not be able to sell your machine for more than $600-$700 and that may be a stretch.
  • You can also ask for an appraisal - some are free.
  • You might want to think about trying to sell your machine on your local sale sites (like Craigslist) as people tend to pay more money when they can see the item and there is no shipping involved.
