Ran across a fun Danish style mid-mod rocker in a friend's garage and we're now ISO an approximate value or a path to start finding one.
It's stamped "Made in Italy" and has all original parts/no replacement pieces. A quick search didn't yield much about how to find who made it etc. so any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What a cool find.
From what I can see of it--and I strongly suggest taking this to a reputable vintage dealer--you have a quite valuable Z shaped rocker (that is one way to search them). The other ways are MCM (mid century modern) + like you said Danish + Rocker Italy and the wood type, which looks like it may be walnut (hard to tell without seeing it in person).
These little beauties are super hot at the moment--so I would jump on the MCM bandwagon NOW since I have heard it is starting to fade. In some places these are fetching into the low $1000 range auction (not eBay but real--in person auctions that specialize in high end vintage furniture). Obviously you fetch the most if the piece is pristine. Yours looks like it is in nice shape, so you may be sitting (pun intended) on quite the valuable gem!!
Now that said, someone off the street is not going to hand over that much money to a person selling it--they will to a shop or an auction house, but to a person, probably not.
It is probably best to get this into the hands of pro who can sell it for you and make sure you get the right exposure. Yes, they will take a cut, but I think this is the best way to maximize value.
