Value of an Ashton-Drake Doll - baby dollShe a baby with a big smile, hands ready to reach out to you, a ponytail on top of her head, and she has two teeth. She is wearing blue pjs and bunny slippers. On the back of her neck are the numbers 2830DE, I believe those are the numbers. And on her right ankle is the name Ashton-Drake 91. Her title is My First Tooth. She is in excellent condition.

These are mass-produced dolls that rapidly decrease in value, even if never removed from the box. Maybe you can get $35 for it

She is cute but Aston-Drake has always mass produced their dolls and it is rare that any of their dolls sell for even $35.

  • I believe the 91 probably refers to the year she was made but it still represents nothing of value.

  • There are presently 34 of these dolls listed on eBay (eBay is the largest doll selling site in the world) and the asking prices are higher than any of these dolls will ever sell for.
  • Here are the eBay listings for these dolls that actually sold in the past several months. The sold prices are in green and the prices someone actually paid will generally be below $20. Sadly, the paid price is not even how much the seller would receive as "profit" as there are eBay/PayPal fees to pay and that's not even counting the original cost of the doll.

  • If you would like to sell your doll, I would suggest you list her on one of your local sale sites (like Craigslist) as you may be able to sell her for $25 or $30 as there would not be a shipping cost.

Unfortunately dolls that are mass produced do not sell at a high price, if you check with eBay you will find your doll listed on their site for sale, if you should join the list be aware that there will be a shipping cost and a % taken by eBay if your doll sells.

There have been three of these sweeties sold on eBay recently...one was 21.99, one was 19.95 and one was 99 cents (all plus shipping)

I have links to all below--and this shows you the challenges with selling--one is pristine in the box, one was pre-owned with box and one appears to be just the doll.

If I were selling one and it was not pristine, but had some of the items, I would average the three prices together to get the value to sell mine--which would be (if I carried the one right) $14.31

Remember value is different than profit--if you sell online you will have to pay fees to eBay or Etsy and Paypal. Buyer pays shipping, but you have to pack and weigh it before and make sure eBay calculates it right...cause they sometimes don't and you lose money on shipping.

You also have to package it super carefully so it doesn't get smushed.

You may want to think about a local sale--like Facebook or Nextdoor or a Pennysaver or such....it makes things easier in many ways and takes fees out of the mix and the danger of shipping.
