A ceramic bird music box.Could someone help me to identify this vintage ceramic bird figurine? It has a wind up bottom and a lever to play music. Where can I find a replacement?

Lefton and Gorham were the two big makers of figurines like this in the 1970s-1990s and beyond.

It may be almost impossible to find the exact bird in a quick search--because there are thousands upon thousands out there most just called bird figurine. I am still trying to decide if the bird is a finch or a meadowlark or something else...that, sadly, may or may not help you narrow it down--because most resellers will simply call it a bird and hope for the best!

For repairing, Michaels and the other big box stores usually have replacement kits for music boxes--without seeing the bottom I would not know how to advise you to make the replacement.

There may be YouTube how to videos. Can you show the bottom?

I think your music box is made in Japan.

Many brands have made vintage bird music boxes.
Lefton made music boxes with a different base (just google it).

Gorham also made boxes with a slightly different base, so I don't think you have a Gorham Music Box. (I found Gorham Ceramic Bird Music Box with tall base, compare carefully
EDA MANN also made similar music boxes, but they also have a slightly different base and have a manufacturer's mark on them.

I think you have Toyo Bird Music Box.
I found a 5 5/8" music box with the same base It also has green leaves with red berries. Look closely at the key of your music box. It may be written on Toyo like here, but may not be written like this also very similar music box (It also has the same base and has green leaves with red berries) This music box is on sale for $9.99 (in nice condition, works great).

You did not write what you need to replace.
