Vintage White Cheddar and Broccoli Quiche

cheddar and broccoli quiche sliceThis delicious quiche is loaded with broccoli and cheese. It is super easy to make and is sure to be a hit with the whole family!

Ingredients:

NOTE: I used a regular pie crust for this recipe and it overflowed. It requires a deep-dish crust.

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Put frozen crust into the oven and bake until light golden brown. Approximately 8-10 minutes. If crust puffs up, prick it with a knife and continue baking.

  4. Bring water to boil in a sauce pan. Boil broccoli for 3-5 minutes or until tender but crispy. Remove broccoli from water and drain on a paper towel.

  6. In a frying pan, heat butter over medium-high heat. Add onion and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; to taste. Cook until onions are translucent and tender.

  8. Put eggs and milk into a medium bowl. Beat well with a whisk.

  10. Add cheese and onion to egg mixture. Stir to combine.

  12. Spread the broccoli out in the pie crust.

  14. Pour egg mixture over the broccoli. Place the quiche on a baking sheet.

  16. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until quiche is set in the middle and the top is starting to turn golden brown.

  18. Remove quiche from oven and place on a wire cooling rack. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
