What Breed Is My Dog?

A brown and white dog playing with a green toy.The shelter told us she's a Lab mix. We thought we found her sister and they said Pit Bull mixed with Shorthaired Pointer. We see Pit Bull but we aren't sure if she's a purebred or not. She's 3 years old and almost 70 pounds!

Well, only DNA will tell for sure. I believe her to be Pit Bull/ Labrador Retriever. She looks 75% Pit and 25% Lab. Her weight is normal for this breed fully grown. Also she will not shed. Here is a link with pictures of this mix and history - americanbullydaily.com/pitbull-lab-mix-guide

It's impossible to determine the breed without having a DNA test, but looking @ some pictures, it looks like your girl has a lot of Pit Bull in her:

I'm not seeing a lot of Pointer, nor a lot of Labrador Retriever:

I don't see traits of a pointer or lab in the visual appearance of your dog. I think she's pure pit but only a DNA test can verify that for sure. You have a good looking dog regardlessof whether she a mix or pure bred dog.

I guess that I have a different opinion as that face looks more like a pointer than pit bull to me.
Most pit bulls have broader face features/bone structure while the pointer has a slimmer face.

If she is 7 months old and weights 70 pounds then she could possibly be mixed with lab or pointer as both of these breeds have short hair and similar facial features.
Information:
"On average, the Lab-Pit mix ranges from 17 inches to 25 inches (43 to 63 cm) in height and weighs between 45 lbs to 90 lbs (20 to 40 kg).

"Pointers vary between 23 and 28 inches in height, and weigh around 45 to 75 lbs.
Pit Bulls stand anywhere between 17 and 21 inches tall, and weigh around 30-60 lbs"

The coloring of your girl fits either breed but I still think her head has more pointer/lab than pit bull and her expression is softer than the normal facial expression of a pit.
If she is a mix of either the lab or the pointer then you most likely have a very good, healthy family dog.

Only DNA testing can tell you for sure but these test kits are going up in price - from $68 to several hundred dollars. These kits can be purchased online or any pet store.

I hope she has her regular vet visits to keep all of her shots/vaccinations up to date.

She is 3 and weighs 70 pounds! But yes I agree with you! I do see some pitbull in her sometimes but I see alot of something else because in person her snout looks very long!

She just looks like a lovable baby to me.
Give her lots of hugs and she will always 'hug' you back.
What could be better than that!!

Her nose is too long for a pit and more the facial features of a lab and pointer. She might have a bit of a boxer in her because of the coloring in her.

I really don't see that much pit in her at all.
