at this age it's very hard to tell because puppies all tend to look the same until they outgrow their neotenous features.

Aww! Hugs from me to that sweet pup!!

Talk to your vet and get his/her feel for breeds. They look at teeth, jaw, hips, bone structure etc and are usually spot on!

I see a little lab, maybe a drop of boxer and a tad of hound! Heinz 57 mix of cuteness!!! With you an amazing life together!

Well he is a cutie no matter who the father is!
I believe he is still too young to have very many distinguishing marks to provide information as to his mix and just seeing a picture makes it difficult also.

  • I agree that your vet may be able to give you some clues but mainly ideas as to how large he may get.
  • The most important thing you can do for this baby is to take him to a vet and get him started on his shots/vaccinations so he will be safe from all the terrible viruses that float around for him to contract.

  • Just read some of the sad stories we hear about puppies contracting Parvo and you would have appointment with the vet tomorrow. Just be sure to complete all necessary shots as partially safe is not safe at all.
  • Check out what he will need his first year:
  • If you really want to know his breeding mix then you can get a DNA test kit as these are not too expensive and will tell you most all of his parents information.
  • DNA test kits can be purchased at pet supply stores, farm stores, lots of big box stores and also online. The cost will run $40-$200 according to how extensive you wish to check.
  • Take care of your baby and may you have many happy years together.
